Corazón de Jesús - Natural Costa Rica

Corazón de Jesús is a mill owned by the Alvarado family in the Chirripo region of Costa Rica. Chirripo isn't particularly known for its coffee as the rough terrain and rocky soil do not present the most ideal growing conditions. Corazón de Jesús is working to change that.

Since inception over ten years ago, Corazón de Jesús has produced coffees that have placed and won the Costa Rica's Cup of Excellence competition.  The Alvarado family has expanded their mill and acquired more farms over the years, allowing for a greater variety of coffee and processing to be used. Their dedication to quality and excellence has helped put Chirripo on the map and showcase the region's coffee on a global stage. This particular lot is a naturally processed Typica from El Salitre, one of the family's highest altitude farms at 1300masl. This process produces a coffee that has a lot of sweetness and bright acidity making it a preferred option for pour overs and single origin espresso lovers.
